When deciding to build our new home we compared project homes to private builders. We arrived at the conclusion that a private builder would meet all of our requirements being something original, energy efficient and a house to suit the shape and slope of our land.
When shopping around for a private builder we were pleasantly surprised to find that Sealine Homes was comparable to the other priavte builders that we had looked at.
From our first meeting with Paul deWinter we were made to feel comfortable and able to discuss our budget and options that would fit with what we had planned for our home.

It gives the Briscoe family great pleasure to provide the judges of the 2007 excellence in building awards with a reference for our new home in Lilli Pilli NSW.
The excellence is captured to a large extent by the way Paul has interpreted the architectural design and the pleasure comes in the nature and professionalism with which both the architect and Paul deWinter dealt with us as owners given the difficult task we presented them with, we sought a truly artistic and beautifully constructed home to blend in with the environment of Mosquito Bay, Lilli Pilli. The architect set the building down to capture both the natural bush and waterfront location. The builder further enhanced this process by solid craftsmanship through out, attention to detail and his always receptive consultative manner. This was particularly important given that for most of the time we lived in Canberra and much of the decision making was by phone or email with intermittent site visits.
We are very happy with our new home!!

Mary and I want to express our sincere appreciation for your excellent workmanship in the construction of our home in Long Beach. Your service and attention to small details that needed to be addressed after possession has been superb.
The other day Mary and I were reflection back on when we first started to select a builder. We went to a number of different builders, two project builders and three custom builders. One of the project builders refused to give us any pricing once we advised them that we were getting competitive pricing, they wanted us to deal exclusively with their firm and not to talk to any other builders. The other project builder was more cooperative but as soon as we asked for changes from the standard head office design the cost skyrocketed and they would not make all the changes we wanted to the standard layout nor could we do any work or get access to the house until it was finished.
One of the custom builders advised us that he would like us to come back to him with the best pricing available and he would simply under cut the best price without looking at our requirements or drawings. We did not like his approach and quickly removed him from our list. We were then down to two custom builders you and one of your competitors. We again encountered difficulty in getting the one remaining competing builder to provide us with pricing that included all the features we wanted, we got a rough estimate and a request for a fee to provide comprehensive competing bid which we found to be unacceptable.
Paul, you were the only builder that accepted our detailed specifications for features and provided us with a firm price at the outset. We jointly spent a considerable amount of time discussing the details to insure complete understanding. In addition, there were a number of items that we wanted to do ourselves and you were very helpful in assisting us in analysing as to where savings could be achieved.
Once construction commenced you were very receptive to any changes we wanted and provided advice even on the items that we were doing ourselves. This was very much appreciated.
I should also mention that your bid price was the most competitive of all pricing that we received and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Both Mary and I would be more than happy to recommend you to any potential customers that you may have in the future.
