Testimonials from our clients
At Sealine Homes, we put as much effort into forming long lasting relationships as we do into building quality homes. Client satisfaction is of utmost importance to us and we go the extra mile to ensure our clients are 100% happy with both the building process and the end result.
Our reputation as Batemans Bay’s premier builder is formed from solid foundations that incorporate reliability, flexibility and attention to detail. But don’t just take our word for it, read below what our fantastic clients have say about us:
For most of us, the biggest financial and emotional investment that we make is in our family home. Choosing a builder to construct a new family home or carry out a renovation can be really daunting, on so many levels. After much enquiry and after seeking a number quotes, we elected to go with Mr Paul de Winter of Sealine Homes.
Several months ago, Paul completed our new home in Broulee. And, we are absolutely delighted with the end-product. Building a double story, “one-off” design can be quite challenging as everything is unique to that building. During the initial phase, Paul came up with some excellent design ideas which has given our house a unique feel. No matter how careful the planning, during construction there are always going to be some changes and Paul accommodated these without any fuss or major cost. I was on-site during most of the build and I found Paul’s trades people to be first-class.
Building a house is a complex task, yet now that the task is complete and with the benefit of hindsight, I can honestly say that if I was to do it all again, I would use Paul and the Sealine Home’s team.

It is my greatest pleasure to write in support of Paul deWinter’s entry into the housing awards. I have known Mr. deWinter for approximately two years during which time he has built my family an elegant, light and friendly home.
The main reason that the building process went so smoothly was Paul’s capacity to form and maintain a good relationship with me. There are several key areas of his personal qualities that I would like to mention. Paul has often demonstrated his integrity and flexibility with regard to the building process. He was very willing to share time with me to brainstorm ideas (at no additional cost) and he was also most generous and friendly when faced with any changes in design. On one occasion he built, knocked down andthen rebuilt part of bathroom wall without complaint.
Furthermore, Paul’s professionalism shows not only in his reliability and attention to detail but also in his timeliness. Throughout the process I was kept informed of any minor delays and Paul always returned my telephone calls promptly. I have also appreciated the enthusiasm for the project that we have shared. I have had many people tentatively ask me how I am coping with the building process, and it has always been a pleasure to highly recommend Paul his relational competence and building expertise.
In conclusion, my family and I are grateful to Paul for building us such an incredible home and for making the building process straightforward and enjoyable. Jane Austen’s words reflect the feeling our family has towards the house that Paul has built for us.

Working with Paul De Winter from Sealine homes made building a house ‘long distance’ so easy” said Claire and Ruth. “He kept in constant contact by email and sms, so we were able to ask our questions and have chats well outside normal working hours. The quality of the build and the attention to detail is impeccable and he absorbed all our changes along the way, even if it wasn’t always convenient.”
Paul made a lot of decisions that have really helped give the house a modern and airy feel. It so comfortable and we have complete confidence that we are not going to have to worry down the track.
“What’s the best recommendation we can give for Paul?” said Ruth. “Well, he has become a friend foremost, but also we can’t wait to build the next house on lot 33 with him!” laughed Claire. “We already know how wonderful he and his team are, and that’s the team we want to be able to capture our beautiful beachfront views.”Reflections at Barlings Beach
Dear Paul and Team,
We would like to thank you for bringing our “Grand Design” to reality. We have always wanted a unique house that is family friendly, light filled and relaxed. You and your Team have done a fantastic job of completing this beautiful home and sharing our vision.
We would especially like to note your patience, intuition and ability to listen and resolve design challenges. Our timber cladding and front windows are testimony to this for all to see.
The team of tradesmen you selected for our job were all professional and easy to work with, and we are very grateful for their eye for detail. Paul we are happy to recommend you to any new or potential clients who, like us, want to build their dream family home.Geoff and Louise Hatton
Jan & I would like to say how happy we are with our new home.
Firstly living in Melbourne & having our home built in Tomakin NSW was a big ask. Thanks to Paul and his great tradesmen it was smooth sailing right through to the home completion.
Being in the trade myself in a Cabinet making business in Melbourne I know the pitfalls that can happen, thanks to Pauls frequent phone calls on the progress of our home together with the faith we had in his judgement and building ethic we had no issues. Jan & I would make the trip up to Tomakin as each stage was completed.
Would also like to thank Simone for showing us their lovely home & for some of her interior ideas.Ron Rolfe Jan Johnstone
It gives the Briscoe family great pleasure to provide the judges of the 2007 excellence in building awards with a reference for our new home in Lilli Pilli NSW.
The excellence is captured to a large extent by the way Paul has interpreted the architectural design and the pleasure comes in the nature and professionalism with which both the architect and Paul deWinter dealt with us as owners given the difficult task we presented them with, we sought a truly artistic and beautifully constructed home to blend in with the environment of Mosquito Bay, Lilli Pilli. The architect set the building down to capture both the natural bush and waterfront location. The builder further enhanced this process by solid craftsmanship through out, attention to detail and his always receptive consultative manner. This was particularly important given that for most of the time we lived in Canberra and much of the decision making was by phone or email with intermittent site visits.
We are very happy with our new home!!Norma & Gordon Briscoe
Our plan was to renovate our small aging coast house by replacing the extensive fibro/asbestos and building in new rooms downstairs. After taking a number of references, we choose Sealine Homes. Paul Winter was more than the builder; he became our consultant and advisor. The building plans looked simple but the high-quality end result reflects Paul’s ability to help us get the very best quality for our budget. The standard of finish across the house is excellent, attracting good comments from many visitors. Paul’s choice of contractors has been spot-on, so that the kitchen and bathroom blends seamlessly with the construction.
The new home is more than a renovation: it is a leap in quality, allowing us to enjoy the coast landscape much more than before. The design regulations constrained us in some ways by requiring us to trade-up to a more fire-resistant exterior. Builders face many choices in finalising these tougher exteriors, and we think Paul got the project right with his choice of painting and finishes. We are delighted with the end result, and have developed a friendship with Paul, who comes as a welcome guest to help us enjoy his masterwork.Joan and John
Paul Dewinter and his great team completed our home in Seaview Way Long Beach in 2011. We cannot speak highly enough of the pride and care that Paul personally devoted to this project. Without exception, every tradesperson that had a role in our house devoted the upmost care and attention to the project. Paul is a credit to the building industry in NSW.Jean and Peter

Mary and I want to express our sincere appreciation for your excellent workmanship in the construction of our home in Long Beach. Your service and attention to small details that needed to be addressed after possession has been superb.
The other day Mary and I were reflecting back on when we first started to select a builder. We went to a number of different builders, two project builders and three custom builders. One of the project builders refused to give us any pricing once we advised them that we were getting competitive pricing, they wanted us to deal exclusively with their firm and not to talk to any other builders. The other project builder was more cooperative but as soon as we asked for changes from the standard head office design the cost skyrocketed and they would not make all the changes we wanted to the standard layout nor could we do any work or get access to the house until it was finished.
One of the custom builders advised us that he would like us to come back to him with the best pricing available and he would simply under cut the best price without looking at our requirements or drawings. We did not like his approach and quickly removed him from our list. We were then down to two custom builders you and one of your competitors. We again encountered difficulty in getting the one remaining competing builder to provide us with pricing that included all the features we wanted, we got a rough estimate and a request for a fee to provide comprehensive competing bid which we found to be unacceptable.
Paul, you were the only builder that accepted our detailed specifications for features and provided us with a firm price at the outset. We jointly spent a considerable amount of time discussing the details to insure complete understanding. In addition, there were a number of items that we wanted to do ourselves and you were very helpful in assisting us in analysing as to where savings could be achieved.
Once construction commenced you were very receptive to any changes we wanted and provided advice even on the items that we were doing ourselves. This was very much appreciated.
I should also mention that your bid price was the most competitive of all pricing that we received and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Both Mary and I would be more than happy to recommend you to any potential customers that you may have in the future.Matt & Mary Semenas
When deciding to build our new home we compared project homes to private builders. We arrived at the conclusion that a private builder would meet all of our requirements being something original, energy efficient and a house to suit the shape and slope of our land.
When shopping around for a private builder we were pleasantly surprised to find that Sealine Homes was comparable to the other priavte builders that we had looked at.
From our first meeting with Paul deWinter we were made to feel comfortable and able to discuss our budget and options that would fit with what we had planned for our home.
Throughout the process we found Paul deWinter and his team to be informative and clear with all requirements, costs and inclusions.
The finished result was a home that was our dream. Our home is of the highest standard and we would not change a thing. Everyone that has come through our home has been impressed and we would not hesitate on recommending the Sealine Homes team.
Thankyou to Paul deWinter and team it was a very pleasant experience.Craig and Debbie Willis
